Rowan immediately catches the eye when she enters a room, mostly because of her fierce red hair. She has a pair of piercing blue eyes that pop out among all the red quite nicely. Her face is covered in freckles, something she has always owned instead of denouncing it. Rowan is quite tall, and since she wears heels a lot, she is even taller than that.

Personality

Rowan always seems to be a very funny, sympathetic person when you meet her for the first time. She knows how to make some small talk and most people find her presence rather comforting. However, things can turn like the tide with her. She has a very obsessive nature, and whenever she finds that something is hers, she will do everything to make that happen. This has caused quite some stirrings within her close friends, as those see this side of her more often than other people. Rowan can be very selfish at times, not taking the feelings of others into consideration whenever she decides to act upon her deepest desires. Whenever something doesn't go as planned, she turns vengeful. She will still try to change the outcome, and she has her own wicked ways to do so. Some are fooled by her pretty face, but she is a master in manipulation. Her arrogance makes her truly believe in her own actions, and that they're actually good.

Rowan was born in Southampton, to a British father who worked as a middle school teacher and a Brazilian mother who had come to the United Kingdom to pursue her modeling career. She was born out of a one-night stand, but her parents remained semi-together after the deed. They never married, nor did they truly become a couple, but her father helped her mother to get herself a place nearby Southampton to live. It wasn't much, but Rowan had nothing to complain about. Instead of modeling, her mother became a housewife, dedicating all her time to Rowan.

When Rowan was eleven years of age, she was scouted on the streets of Southampton when she was out shopping with her mother. Her mother immediately adored the idea of her daughter becoming a model, somehow feeling like she could still live her own dream through the success of her daughter. Rowan didn't want to, as she had never liked people taking pictures of her, but her mother managed to persuade her to visit the modeling agency nonetheless. Rowan let everything happen, and she became the puppet of her obsessive mother.

In the years to come, everything in her life was controlled by others. Her mother, her modeling agent, and the people she worked for. She wasn't able to go to school like a normal teenage girl because of the photoshoots she had to attend, but her mother cared very little about her results at school, as long as she stuck to her diet and washed her hair the right way so it would shine the next day during the photoshoot, she was happy.

Rowan learned that the modeling industry was toxic. Just as her relationship with her mother at this moment. She continued to model until she was in her mid-twenties. During these years, she had transformed from a little, insecure girl, to a young woman who didn't mind showing off some skin on camera, knowing that thousands of people would see that picture of her the next week. Eventually, she quit, after an incident with one of the photographers. She never talks about this, but it was bad enough to finally step up and disappoint her mother, something that should've been done years ago.

She moved out and found herself a job as a bartender. This is where she met Skaði and Cecilia, who became two close friends of hers. Rowan started to struggle with her sexuality, as she had always had the image of her only liking men. But Skaði had awakened something inside of her. Because she was a good friend, she felt somewhat ashamed of this. And when Skaði got into a serious relationship, all hell broke loose.

After three years of working at the bar, she managed to get herself fired because she stole some money after her shift. This left her with no job, and that meant that she had no possible way to pay for her apartment. This was when she started to use whatever she had learned throughout the years, in order to get money out of the pockets of older, rich men. This isn't something she is proud of by any means, but she feels like it's the only way to keep her head above water financially.
