His obligations were already being worked on, as was expected of him. Here in the library he had managed to secure his permanent place through the fixed learning pattern he had developed. Time passed faster as he studied and before he even knew it, night had come. Enjoying student life was not part of him. He never went out because of his father, so he did not know the joy of going out. Now thenight had come, a lot of students had left the library, which made it a lot quieter. You could almost hear a pin drop. Elijah tapped his finger lightly on the table, moving as the seconds ticked away. The tapping also broke the silence and made him feel like he wasn't all alone here after all. He had to finish this chapter before he was allowed to leave this place.
