Location Application

Besides exploring what Queen's College London has to offer, there are several other places in London to explore. They range from nightlife to popular locations in the city of London itself such as coffeeshops and restaurants. Several locations are looking for owners. This is the thread where you can see the overview and apply.

Locations

the city of london

Airdyne Fitness

A popular gym chain that is located all over the United Kingdom. Some consider the monthly membership fees to be quite high, but you’ll get a lot in return for it. Airdyne Fitness offers unlimited access to modern and well-maintained fitness equipment, as well as several group classes that are hosted by experienced tutors. For an additional fee, you can even get yourself a personal trainer to help you get into shape, make use of the facility’s saunas, or get access to the local squash court.

Davies Riverfront

Davies Riverfront is a new business that opened her doors in early 2020. The restaurant has a lovely riverside setting, with a large seating area on the main floor and a heated terrace with a gorgeous view over the river. If you manage to get into their private dining room upstairs, the views of the river are even more wonderful. This riverside spot serves up to a very British seasonal menu and a strong sparkling wine list includes a great English own-label one that you definitely should try.

little soho

Little Soho is a cosy yet modern-looking bar located in the heart of London City. Students can often be found among the regular crowd as buildings of the QCL are nearby. The star of the show is their cocktail menu, centering around flavours like guava, mango, coconut, pineapple, raspberry and Thai basil, giving guests the chance to switch between sweet and punchy flavour combinations throughout the evening. So take a seat at the bar to watch the bartenders expertly craft cocktails from their infamous Soho Cocktail Book – unless, of course, you prefer something rather more bespoke, in which case they are always delighted to create something that perfectly matches your tastes.

Notorious for its G-A-Y nights on Saturdays, this place is truly the place to be for everyone. The club features three rooms, including one with a ‘bodysonic’ dancefloor. The club is open to anyone who wants to have a good time! Students, people who want to blow of some steam after a busy week. No one is denied access, but beware those who cause trouble are immediately kicked of the premises and get a ban for at least two weeks. The kind of trouble that can get you into that mess is starting fights or causing big scenes.

    History

Once Club 369 was a thriving nightclub. On a daily base hundreds of people from all around the country came by to party. Mainly due to the location and the open policy it was a people’s favorite for sure. High end, but affordable.  The club itself made a name for itself, a good one. For many students this was a household name in the club scene. Some of the biggest parties were thrown here.

Four years ago Club 369 was looking at a bankruptcy, thanks to the former owner who had been embezzling money. There was little that the former owner could do apart from selling the former movie theater to the highest bidder. Dax Davies, 29 at the time was waiting for his big break. He had worked various kind of jobs, mainly in the club scene. So when he heard from this big sale, he jumped on it. With the help from the bank, and the money he had saved up over the years it was possible for him to buy the club. Yet his father needed to co-sign with him, as collateral.

Once he got the club back up and running and the money was coming in again, he bought out his father that he became the sole owner of the club. Pushing it into a new direction, throwing theme parties once a month, updating the interior, getting up and coming dj’s to play at the club. Forming a safe environment for everyone who simply wanted to enjoy the music. Making an experience out of every party that was thrown here.

    History

Before the Black & Bloom became what it is today, it used to be an old, family-owned hardware store on the brink of bankruptcy. The current owner bought out the previous one, renovated the entire building, and made it into the coffee shop you see before you. While the location is very much new to the coffee business, the store owner and its employees certainly are not. Each and every person behind the counter is deemed to be a coffee specialist, certainly knowing their way around the press. The Black & Bloom prides itself onto the quality of its product, and it ascertains this very quality by only hiring the best of the best.

    Platinum Lace

    Information

Platinum Lace is a well-known bar and gentlemen's club. The owner, Roseline Suarez, is very thorough on her selection and only employs the most beautiful and talented women London has to offer. However, not only girls from London, as some of them are from all over the world. Performances are hosted on the main stage every single evening during which the girls are encouraged to showcase their own unique talents. Anyone willing to pay some extra might go for a private dance from a girl of their choice. Bouncers are stationed all throughout the venue to make sure that no boundaries are crossed.

Roseline has stated some very clear rules for both her girls, as well as for her guests. They can look, as long as they pay the small entrance fee at the door. They can touch, but they will have to pay extra. But that’s the limit, cause her girls are in no damn prostitutes. And what they do in their own time is their own business, but whatever they do, she won’t allow them to do anything against their wishes. Because if that happens, she will allow herself to intervene.

Some of the girls who have worked longer with Roseline call her ‘the mother bear’, given that she will eat every man alive who wants to hurt one of her girls, not literally of course. But she will go to great lengths to provide safety for her ladies. She treats them very well, almost as if they were her own children. Roseline has forbidden them to fight amongst each other as well, protecting all of them and always coming in between when there are problems, solving them. They are supposed to be a team, and not competitors.

On some very rare occasions Roseline will perform for the crowd as well, or even let a customer pay her for a lapdance. Yet, most of the time, she can be found sitting and watching the performances. Keeping a close eye on her customers and their behaviours. Making sure they pay her girls. Or she can be found singing in the background, adding to the performances of her girls.

    History

Platinum Lace used to be a very basic stripclub under a different name, but ever since Roseline bought the place it has been blooming. She invested a lot of money in it and made the place feel extremely luxurious. Some of the girls working for her had been working for the previous owner as well, but their working conditions had improved a lot with Roseline’s new rules. Their previous boss had been known to make a lot of indecent proposals to certain paying customers - to earn more money - and he didn’t always treat his girls right.

But now all her girls are enjoying their times, as Roseline makes sure that they are well taken care of. Something she - most of the time - does herself, as she’s always around.

    History

The Libertine was created in 2010 after the owner bought up an old clublocation near Oxford Circus. The club instantly became a hit due to its chique decor and celebrity clients. The owner, a succesful businessman in his late fifties, left a team of younger people in charge to create the entire concept, solely providing the money to do so. The club had an Asian theme from the start and always remained at the top of the list of high-end clubs in London.

Malèna Cascioferro, was frequent client in the club ever since she was eightteen. Almost ten years later, she decided the club would be her next business venture. She pursuaded the owner, which was a family friend, into retiring when she made him a more than generous offer. The man agreed, leaving the club's reigns in her very capable hands.

Malèna changed the concept of the once Asian-themed club to a very fresh, sophisticated and futuristic venue perfect for the VIP partygoers. With her upper-class ties and her friends from the Pitt Club, she was able to raise the already high-profile club to a new level. She created the VIP membership the club is now known for. The Libertine is one of the most renowned and high-end clubs in the city where the rich and famous go to let loose.
