The Libertine

Information

The Libertine is the most renowned and high-end club in the entire city. It’s incredibly exclusive and therefore often attended by London’s elite as well as various celebrities. You have to either be someone or know someone important if you want to get in. Many wait in line for hours in the hopes of getting inside or catching a glimpse of someone famous. As if this place wasn’t exclusive enough, there are designated VIP-areas inside as well for the true A-listers among us.

Libertine is open every mid-weekend 10:00 PM- 3:00 AM Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Fridays and Saturdays are the busiest party nights. The entry price of the Libertine sits at £50 for the ladies who managed to book in the guestlist, and £70 after 11pm. For gentlemen, it's always £70. The club has VIP memberships that start at £5000 per year, after which you'll be guaranteed a table in the VIP section and champagne on entrance. VIP members have their own cards on which they can store credit.

The dress code is glam. For women this includes: dresses, and pumps, and makeup if you must. For men this includes: slacks and polos, and suede shoes, suits are always appreciated. To avoid disappointment, guests are recommended to be in their best attire as Libertine is very strict in their dress code policy. Even if you’re already booked on the guest list, the club management has the right to refuse entry if you don’t comply with their strict dress code.

The interior decor is best described as “fashionable without being pretentious”. It is designed to create an atmosphere of inclusivity and aims to provide memorable and original clubbing experience. For those who want a more private area, Libertine has an extremely VIP private room behind a secret doorway offering a discreet space for the privileged ones.

Libertine bottle prices start from £500 minimum spend for 3 guests in standard table while in VIP table, bottle prices starts from £1000 minimum spend for the same number of guests. They offer bottles of Dom Perignon, Grey Goose, Belvedere, Patron and more. R&B, hip-hop, and Commercial House are regularly performed by several of the world’s famous international DJs.

History

The Libertine was created in 2010 after the owner bought up an old clublocation near Oxford Circus. The club instantly became a hit due to its chique decor and celebrity clients. The owner, a succesful businessman in his late fifties, left a team of younger people in charge to create the entire concept, solely providing the money to do so. The club had an Asian theme from the start and always remained at the top of the list of high-end clubs in London.

Malèna Cascioferro, was frequent client in the club ever since she was eightteen. Almost ten years later, she decided the club would be her next business venture. She pursuaded the owner, which was a family friend, into retiring when she made him a more than generous offer. The man agreed, leaving the club's reigns in her very capable hands.

Malèna changed the concept of the once Asian-themed club to a very fresh, sophisticated and futuristic venue perfect for the VIP partygoers. With her upper-class ties and her friends from the Pitt Club, she was able to raise the already high-profile club to a new level. She created the VIP membership the club is now known for. The Libertine is one of the most renowned and high-end clubs in the city where the rich and famous go to let loose.
