Victoire is a silent beauty you notice even though she doesn't want you to. She isn't particularly tall and her face has soft features, completed with a pair of doe-like hazel eyes. Her brown hair falls over her shoulders and turns to a lighter shade of brown when she spends a lot of time in the sun. She tans easily, even the slightest bit of sunshine seems to do the trick. She is usually very soft-spoken, but can speak with great passion and conviction when talking about something she loves.

Her style can be described as a romantic, vintage and classic. Her closet is filled with French brands, ranging from high-end like Rouje to luxury brands like Dior and Saint Laurent. She often wears sweaters and cardigans. These are often paired with midi skirts of dresses that are either plain or with some type of floral pattern. As she lives in England, she has an array of premium coats to face the cold weather. Her colour palette is muted, mostly consisting of neutral colours like browns and creams, and sometimes a pop of colour. Jewelry is kept simple and accessory wise she sticks to scarves and her mother's old watch. In typical French fashion, she does love to wear berets. She doesn't wear a lot of makeup, preferring to keep it simple.

    Personality

    traits |

    gentle – kind – sincere – creative – romantic – forgiving – shy – quiet – sensitive – reserved

Victoire is a kind-hearted, yet very introverted type of woman and is most comfortable when she is by herself. She values deep, authentic relationships with others and tends to take great care of other people's feelings. Incredibly shy, she guards her own feelings at all times. However, she communicates in a way that is warm and sensitive. Her insight into true character and emotional honesty gives her an almost uncanny ability to understand people’s true motivations, feelings, and needs.

She generally strives to do what's right and wants to help create a world where others do the right thing as well. She's creative in every sense of the way, with a vivid imagination and strong sense of compassion. The happiness of others comes first. That said, she also needs to prioritize reconnecting with herself. She can often feel overwhelmed when she doesn't do this.

Her personality is all but defined by idealism. She's continually fixating on imperfections and wondering whether they should be looking for something better. When in the face of conflict and criticism, she feels especially stressed. Even constructive criticism may feel deeply personal or hurtful to Victoire. As mentioned before, she is reluctant to open up to others and is a very private person.

She is fluent in both English as well as French.

    Joinville, France

    date of birth |

    October 3rd, 1991

Victoire was born as the only child of the French Matisse Cartier-Lavigne and British Olivia Townsend. She was loved and cared for by her parents, who always believed that Cécile wouldn't be able to have children. To them Victoire was a miracle. The little girl grew up in a château in the Champagne region in France, in Joinville to be precise. Her family belongs to the French aristocracy, although as of today it isn't considered important. What they are most known for is starting a succesful champagne house that the family still owns today.

When she was seven years old, her mother got lung cancer. The doctors informed the family that her illness was at a stage were it was uncurable, and that the only thing they could do was treasure the time they had left. Half a year later her mother passed away. Victoire grew up quick to her fathers praise. She had never been very close to him yet her father still loved her very much.

Victoire had a passion for the fine arts, especially painting, and had raw talent for it. When it was time for her to head to university, the girl wanted only to study fine arts. Her father was reluctant to agree to this but eventually did if she also promised to study art history as a back-up. Moreover, she would only go to the best university: Paris College of Art.

Moving to Paris was difficult for the already shy Victoire. She had everything she could hope for: an appartment in the safe neighbourhood of the sixth arrondissement, no need for a job and good grades. Yet Victoire was very discontent with  the vibrant city life, seeing how much she enjoyed living her quiet life. Still, she couldn't possibly defy her father after all he had done for her. She didn't make many friends at first but eventually got close to a few people she holds near and dear to her heart. And slowly, she started to fall in love with the city. After attaining her undergraduate degree she continued with a master in Fine Arts in Drawing at the same college.

Victoire obtained her graduate degree at age twenty-two, now with the world at her feet. She had grown out to be a beautiful woman who captured the attention of many men, especially due to her kind and gentle nature. Whilst she was figuring out what to do with her life she met a British man who was able to sweep her off her feet. He made her feel like they were living in a fairytale. But after a while his more arrogant and posessive side started to show. Their relationship turned toxic and came to a halt when she finally realized what had become of them. She ended their relationship. A now heartbroken and devastated Victoire felt stuck in her life, not knowing what to do. At first, she wanted nothing more than to stay in Paris. After all, she was comfortable there. But it just didn't feel right. Besides, she desperately wanted her graduate degree in art history. On a limb she applied for a degree at the University of Cambridge in England, her mother's home country. She got accepted and moved to the United Kingdom when she was twenty-five.

Living in England gave her a chance to get over her break-up and focus on her studies. It even made her feel closer to her mother who she still missed dearly. And just over a year after leaving the continent, she graduated at Cambridge. She moved to London not soon after, which was outside her own comfort zone yet felt like the right step. She was able to get her hands on a small yet beautiful appartment in Notting Hill with her mother's inheritance. For a while, she worked as a conservator-restorer for the British Museum, although it wasn't what she wanted to do. Yet, she also didn't want to fill galleries with her work. Eventually, one of her colleagues suggested she should apply for a job at Queen's College London as a lecturer. She took this to heart and got accepted as a lecturer when she was twenty-seven. Teaching never seemed like something fit for her, but she actually thoroughly enjoyed it.

SOME PEOPLE ARE ARTISTS, SHE IS ART ITSELF
